Firefighters put out fire at Buckland hydroelectric plant


MARATHON. KAIT: A 22NEWS FOLLOW UP NOW TO BREAKING NEWS WE FIRST SHOWED YOU SUNDAY NIGHT… A FIRE AT A HYDRO-ELECTRIC PLANT IN FRANKLIN COUNTY HAS BEEN PUT OUT. CREWS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTY WERE CALLED IN TO BUCKLAND WHERE A FIRE WAS REPORTED AT THE GARDNERS FALLS HYDROELECTRIC PLANT. THE SHELBURNE FALLS FIRE DEPARTMENT TOLD 22NEWS FIREFIGHTERS WERE ABLE TO PUT OUT THE FLAMES AROUND MIDNIGHT. IT HASN’T BEEN CONFIRMED YET WHAT EXACTLY CAUGHT FIRE AND WHAT MAY HAVE BEEN DAMAGED.
