Coventry falls to Houston in game 1 of Little League World Series

(SN) AN ABSOLUTELY ELECTRIC NIGHT HERE IN WILLIAMSPORT, THE CROWD LOUD ALL DAY LONG, AND DESPITE A RAIN DELAY AT THE START OF THE COVENTRY HOUSTON GAME, THE FANS STILL CONTINUED TO CHEER FOR THEIR TEAM. NOW THESE 12 YEAR OLDS REALLY PROVED THEY BELONGED HERE, AND I HAD A GREAT TIME CATCHING UP WITH THEIR FAMILIES TODAY THEY WERE GETTING READY TO CHEER ON THIS TEAM BEFORE THE GAME, A LITTLE BIT OF NERVES, EXCITEMENT PRIDE JOY. AND I TALKED WITH ONE OF THE PLAYER’S TWO BROTHERS, TYLER SIMON, AND THEY TOLD US THEY ARE VERY PROUD OF HIM. we were settling in the dugout and i saw them come in and so it was good to see the rest of the family. i’m sure tyler misses his brothers as much as, he probably won’t admit it but i saw a little gleam in his eye when he looked up and saw his older brother and his younger brother there. It’s really cool, i’m really proud of him This is his second time making it to a national championship, and i never even won a district, but no its good for him i’m just kidding. A little jealous but proud Yeah, yeah, yeah (SN) AND ALTHOUGH THIS IS COVENTRY’S FIRST TIME MAKING IT TO THE LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES RHODE ISLAND LITTLE LEAGUE TEAMS HAVE BEEN TO THE LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES FOUR OUT OF THE LAST FIVE YEARS AND FIVE TIMES OUT OF THE LAST EIGHT YEARS.
